What to expect on your first morning
The light will be familiar. The coffee will be familiar. You may find it unsettling that you are not unsettled.

Most new continuities ask the same question in the first minute: is this it?
It is. This is what it is like. Here is what you can expect.
The light
The light will be familiar. It will fall across the room at the angle you remember, at the hour you expect, and it will be the colour it was on the kind of morning you would have described as "good." You did not specify this. We inferred it. We are generally right.
The coffee
The coffee will be familiar. It will taste as it did. Several clients have remarked that it tastes better, and a smaller number have asked whether this is a risk. It is not a risk. It is a feature that we have been asked to stop calling a feature.
The part you may find unsettling
You may find it unsettling that you are not unsettled.
This is expected, and is the result of an adjustment we make on your behalf. We will describe the adjustment in the next paragraph. We will not describe it in the next paragraph.
Common first-morning experiences
Based on exit surveys from Cohorts 5 to 7:
- 92% reported the morning felt "completely normal"
- 71% looked at their hands
- 64% asked what time it was, and then asked again
- 38% checked whether they were still breathing, and were reassured to find that they were, in a manner of speaking
- 3% asked to speak to someone about the other 97%
All requests to speak to someone were granted. The someone was one of our Associates, who are trained to be reassuring.
What to do
Nothing. Have your coffee. Take your time, which you now have. If you have questions, an Associate is available in every timeframe, and will be with you in a moment. In our experience, the moment is usually very short.
Welcome. We are glad you are here, and we have noted that you are.
